Just comment here to gather for a team of 3. “One for all, all for one!” The Three Musketeers. Alexandre Dumas. (but they actually ended up to be four of them..mmmhhh..)

Slow Internet? Get a fast web browser!
Filed Under Software | Leave a Comment
The Internet connection speed of Indonesia ranks on place 89 compared with countries like Japan, Korea and Europe as the forerunner according to ZDNet Australia’s speed test. To get the best from such an Internet connection it is advisable to use at least a fast browser as a slow browser will act as another bottleneck in showing websites. A recent test of the most used web browsers, again conducted bei ZDNet Australia, comes to the following result:
Safari is undoubtedly one of the fastest browsers available…The worst-performing browser in our tests is Internet Explorer 7…Overall, and taking the performance of the beta versions into consideration, the browser performance rankings are as follows: Firefox and Safari in a clear lead ahead of Opera and finally Internet Explorer.
So get Safari or Firefox (both for PC and Mac) to speed up your Internet experience! Happy surfing!

Need advice in writing a research paper? Look no further, help is just a click away!
Filed Under New | Leave a Comment
When it comes to writing a research paper many students feel overwhelmed or even right away helpless. This seems to be a pandemic experience of S1 and S2 students. Maybe the Florida Community College at Jacksonville felt empathy with their students and produced this series of 24 video-podcasts in English Composition to come to their rescue: “Writing About Non-Fiction - A Resource for Writing Research Papers”
Each of the videos runs about half an hour and covers a topic from writing a first draft to revising and editing. Click for the complete list (here).

How to add your picture (avatar) to your comments
Filed Under New | 5 Comments
When you click on “Comments’ under the post title you see a funny little picture beside the names. You can easily show your photo or any other picture (e.g. cartoon) of your choice when you register at Gravatar. A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites like FIM-Jakarta. As an example you can see Mr.T’s avatar in his comments - a little black and white picture he tries to look younger with. Try it out and let your personality
shine on the web!
